Youth for the future programme

The recommendation of the High Level Review Group to establish a pan-Commonwealth Youth for the Future program is highly commendable and deserves the endorsement of the Commonwealth Heads of Government here in Coolum. The youth population are vital assets in all Commonwealth nations and this initiative will provide avenues to encourage youth to participate more fully in development activities, in particular through the proposed four components of the programme.

To ensure long-term sustainability and adaptability of the program, a facility should be established to enable participation from small developing member states.
