Since half of the Commonwealth's 1.7 billion people are under 25 years of age, "Youth for the Future" is indeed a timely and appropriate initiative for the Commonwealth. They are the inheritors of the Commonwealth's fundamental values and its future lies in their hands. Solomon Islands believes that the development of youth enterprise will provide our youth with the tools they will need when they assume leadership in what ever endeavours they so choose and help build a better future for the next generation of youths.
