Australia: Queensland highlighted
Queensland is the second largest State in area in the Commonwealth
of
Australia extending from the sub-tropical south-east to the tropical
Torres
Strait Islands bordering Papua New Guinea. Whilst it is a State
which is
quite decentralised, the majority of its population live in the
south-east.

Brisbane
Brisbane is the fastest growing capital city in Australia. Brisbane
City Council is Australia's largest local government authority and
covers an area of 1,220 square kilometres.

Sunshine Coast
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting is being held at the
Hyatt Regency Coolum and the other ministerial and officials meetings
will be taking place at the Novotel Twin Waters Resorts. Both these
facilities are a short distance from the Sunshine Coast Airport
just north of Maroochydore. They are about 120 kms north of Brisbane
an easy 1.5 hours driving along good quality motorways.
